One aspect of creating a safe arts space is identifying risks to better understand what threats exist and what resources arts businesses can utilize in an emergency situation. Through custom-designed content, case studies, and interactive features, this course provides artists and arts managers with the tools and processes necessary to discover what aspects of their arts space pose security and safety risks. Participants will learn how to prioritize and reduce the effects of identified risks through community partnerships, routine maintenance, and training exercises.

This self-directed, 4-module course is part of the UK Arts Administration’s Community Education Series on Arts Emergency Management.
