This module consists of lectures offered by the Division of Oral Diagnosis, Oral Medicine and Oral Radiology through the Oral Medicine Externship Program. This course is designed to inform the dentists regarding the importance of the scientific method, how and why research is performed, and the importance of scientific research in determining the accuracy of facts. Participants will learn about scientific manuscript writing, the critical features of a good scientific manuscript, and how a manuscript is reviewed for publication. The editorial review process is emphasized in this module.
